this sounds like a non-sequitor. most people complaining about tabs can also configure their editor to make it work for them. Why must I have to? I like my tab bar to actually create real tabs because I actually have my editor show space & tab characters and tabs tell me the intent of the programmer (to indent) better than spaces do.
