I was just thinking about if I would actually implement this. I think I might, but it'd have to be much more discrete than the red box. Maybe just a little cute bug icon, or something. There is definitely something to all of these really simple feedback, poll, bug, and feature request services. I think you should follow through with this and see where it leads.
