- deadmetheny 8y agoI have some good news for you - we have invented these things called "jokes", in which people make statements about things that are obviously untrue as a means to elicit a humourous response in the reader. Now you too can go forth with this knowledge and be prepared for a world in which people aren't saying obviously untrue things solely as an attempt to trick the uneducated and gullible into believing falsehoods! Good luck!
- btilly 8y agoI have some good news for you. There is a place where that type of humor is appreciated. That place is Reddit.
- deadmetheny 8y agoThe GP's joke was good dry humour that, given the lack of downvotes, was clearly appreciated. Reddit is where you go for low-hanging fruit. So no, I'm going to push back against turbonerd NO FUN ALLOWED types when the jokes are actually funny.
- ASalazarMX 8y agoI recognize jokes are rare here, but that one was borderline at most. Reddit is where that comment would birth a chain of Galaxy Quest references.
- eecc 8y agoDon't get that worked up my friend! It was meant as a compliment for the sly sleight, I do have a sense of humor... (oblique, but that depends on the crowd's judgement.)
- jimmaswell 8y agoWhat would be particularly bad about running a real time application like that on an Arduino? Isn't that what they're made for?
- FrojoS 8y agoArduino is not real time.
- CamperBob2 8y agoSure it is. It's nothing but a gussied-up libc implementation for 8-bit AVRs. It's as "real time" as you want it to be.
- noselasd 8y agoArduino boards arn't designed to operate in a rugged environment such as a car which is a pretty hostile environment regarding vibrations, electro magnetic interference and thermal cycling.
