There are safety and sanitations concerns a hair stylist must take into consideration, and they are expected to understand how to properly use chemical treatments in both styling and sanitation.
There was a time where getting a scratch from an unsanitized blade meant an infection that could kill you.
- mikeash 8y agoStill could. It's unlikely to kill you from an acute bacterial infection as would have been common before, but there are still plenty of deadly blood-borne infectious diseases out there. Wouldn't want to go for a haircut and come home with hepatitis.
- hippich 8y agowhat if such certification could take place voluntarily and customers would select a place to get service based on their needs. If they want to safeguard themselves, they would look for certification?
