I thought this. As a cyclist, I actually find cycling to work generally very beneficial. Though, now I am a cyclist I think I'd also be reluctant to take a job which I either a) couldn't cycle to, or b) couldn't cycle to within a reasonable time (e.g. 30 minutes as you said). My switch a few years back has been almost universally positive, though I do read less as a result.
