Reminds me of a job I once had where I would travel for an hour and a half each way just to try and find ways to occupy my time. Eventually I developed a routine of long walks in the parks and afternoon naps. It was soul destroying and eventually I quit. My boss phoned to ask why so I told him straight. His response was 'So what, you're getting paid for it? Obviously, he was doing more or less the same thing but for more money and better perks.
