I've been playing with toy projects for making compilers and interprets and it's so cool! But maybe that's just the honeymoon period.
- mynegation 8y agoI did this stuff for money. My background is double major in Computer Science and Computational Math with specialization in Systems Programming (that means operating systems, networking stack, databases and - yes - compilers). I liked it a lot, but realized I did not want to dedicate my career exclusively to this. While comp can be pretty comfortable if you are good at it, compilers are pretty niche, changing workplaces would be difficult.
