Healthy competition in the family... or probably setting things up for a merger one day...
- zitterbewegung 8y agoAMD really partners more with Intel than NVIDIA at this point. I think Intel buying AMD is much more likely than merging with NVIDIA.
- nolok 8y agoIntel can't buy AMD, because they don't want to lose their hold on x86, and if AMD disappear regulators won't buy the pretend open competition anymore. That's the reason they won't do it anyway, just like they refused to let nVidia make x86 chips (pushing them to ARM and making x86 lose another possible foothold, a bad long term choices)
