Regardless of cuisine, most kitchen staff in Houston are Hispanic and we have some damn good food including Thai. Is it authentic enough to pass muster with a native? Not sure about that. But it's good enough to be popular. :-) Having said that my favorite Thai place is still Morningside Thai and I'm pretty sure it's native run.
