- tomcam 8y agoTo me it felt like genuine appreciation. I can fake it for a bit in several languages but writing pop songs in them would feel like a massive achievement.
- Nr7 8y agoIt's a backhanded compliment. I agree that the author thinks he showing appreciation but that is insulting. It's the same inherent condescension that I've seen a lot of Americans show towards foreigners.
