We’ll see about that in the next couple of years. This was one of the more prominent campaign promises by Trump, and the dude has a habit of actually following through on that, whether you like it or not.
- happytoexplain 8y agowhether you like it or not Why would you insert hostility that appears to be a response to something that doesn't exist in the parent comment?
- allthenews 8y agoProbably because any even implicit support for trump is dangerous on the internet, hence the qualifier.
- jarfil 8y agoI saw no hostility. Are you sure you're not hostile hourself?
- FireBeyond 8y ago"Trump will do this, whether you like it or not". No-one said anything about Trump's ability, or lack thereof, to do this, or their perspective on such abilities. So yeah, hostility.
- maxxxxx 8y agoI wouldn't call it hostile. Defensive seems a better word. In any case let's see him follow through on that. But I would like to see some real steps and not just discussions with some business leaders, maybe some nasty tweets, declaring victory and then forgetting about it.
- h4b4n3r0 8y agoNo hostility intended. Trump literally doesn't care if someone likes it or not. He promised it, it's happening, end of story.
- maxxxxx 8y agoWhat happened with the "wonderful" health plan he promised? Did that happen?
- h4b4n3r0 8y agoIt will: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/01/trump-clears-way-for-health-plans-to-compete-with-obamacare.html https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/01/trump-clears-way-for-health-.... Downvote brigade has arrived, so I can't respond. This is not what he was talking about, but you gotta start somewhere. I'm on an Obamacare plan myself, and I agree that it's a "total disaster". $13k+/yr for barely any coverage at all.
- maxxxxx 8y agoI don't think that's what he was talking about when he tweeted this: https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/839086723552411648?lang=en https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/83908672355241164...
- colemickens 8y agoHm. I'd like to understand more. Why not just go back to your other health care plan? (or, I suppose, why not just pay the penalty?) Also, what circumstances lead to $13K a year? -- I'm only familiar with folks at the lower wage spectrum that are definitely not paying that and are getting much better coverage (read: any) than they would've 5 years ago. Thanks in advance.
- maxxxxx 8y agoI look forward to him following through on that...
