That font looks lovely, what would be closest alternative I could find today to make my editor look that way? Not even sure what I should be googling for.

- Footkerchief 8y agoMonospaced fonts, especially: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Courier_(typeface) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Courier_(typeface)
- ksherlock 8y agoIt's not Courier, though. Similar, but the g and numerals are different.
- ksherlock 8y agoI'm going to guess it was an IBM selectric using the pica72 font typeball. http://munk.org/typecast/2013/11/03/gp-ibm-selectric-typeball-catalog-font-styles/ http://munk.org/typecast/2013/11/03/gp-ibm-selectric-typebal... Bitstream has a $$ font called Pica 10 Pitch if you're interested. https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/bitstream/pica-10-pitch/ https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/bitstream/pica-10-pitch/ n.b - the typist used lower-case L instead of the number 1.
- uvee 8y agoYeah, looks very similar to the Courier font. Thanks!
- jrumbut 8y agoI'm neither a typewriter nor font expert but I think it's a monospaced font and since IBM is mentioned maybe it was from an IBM Selectric typewriter? I've seen font files based on that before, a Google for IBM selectric font looks not totally dissimilar. Maybe that helps?
