Ask HN: Pro Native Business Case When Compared to Hybrid?
At almost every job I've been at there is eventually a debate amongst non development teams (ie business leaders) and development teams about if to build out a new project using native mobile stacks (Android/iOS) or using some hybrid technology which_lets_us_do_both_at_the_same_time_omg.
The pro native arguments I usually see (and advance myself) are usually centered around availability of or scalability of native features (eg touchID or camera scanning), while the pro hybrid side is almost always advancing the cost savings of needing two development teams.
What are some successful pro native arguments which you have encountered which could help me when asked about the "business value" of native when compared to hybrid apps?
