- walrus01 8y ago> Serial I'm waiting for RS485 controlled sex toys, for industrial automation fetishists.
- theyinwhy 8y agoThere are even wooden dildos so I am pretty sure making safe dildos is quite easy. Easiest thing would be to make a two part dildo with a vibrating tip. As long as you do your work proper, the brave women among us could beta test quite safely with extra strong condoms. Tl;dr what are you waiting for?
- qdot76367 8y agoThere's a new electrostim box (only sold via a forum on Fetlife) that uses RS485 breakouts to create plugin modules. And yes it was absolutely designed by an old industrial automation dude.
- DarkWiiPlayer 8y agoWow, I had no idea there was such a thing as "popular hardware brands" for this kind of thing xD Personally I am mostly interested in the technical aspects of all of this, as it is certainly a curious (yet obvious) development. I really wonder what the future holds, considering how sexuality plays an ever increasing role in the entertainment industry (never was "sex sells" as true as today) and any creative idea might take off and make lots of money. On the other hand, another post I saw a while ago seemed to suggest that the industry has some patent issues?

Happy to answer more in depth questions if you've got them, I've got some contact info in my bio. Patents are definitely an issue. One of the big ones, the "268" patent, went up today, and will make life a bit easier on US developers. That said, there's still a ton of niche patents to worry about. https://www.metafetish.com/2018/08/16/the-end-of-the-268-teledildonics-patent/ https://www.metafetish.com/2018/08/16/the-end-of-the-268-tel...
