If like me, you consider that "wealth = how long you could sustain your current lifestyle (same expenses) if your income stopped, today.", then it becomes clear that learning not to show off is really a key to becoming wealthier.
- jkahn 16y agoI think that is a real key. That's what we (my wife and I) try to do. It can be difficult at times, when we see others flaunting their awesome new stuff. We just remind each other that the default behaviour in society these days is to live beyond your means. Not that we don't have nice stuff. But we limit it and pay cash.
