I'm not sure that I'd choose to use the terms "investment bank" and "respectable company" in the same context. Also, when people use the word "real" in a gratuitous way - such as "real" industry, "real" work, "real" programmer, etc - it always makes me suspicious that they don't know what they're talking about and are attempting to needlessly inject gravitas into their statements.
