True, but that kind of change would need massive support from voters, so it is unlikely to happen in any real-world democracy.
- stretchwithme 16y agoyeah, people are conditioned to overpay for many things, such as government, and to expect other things to be free. Tell them they'll be paying $20 a week for their roads and that their taxes will be going down $30 a week, they will scream about how terrible it is.
