Do you think Jefferson thought of his slaves as patriots?
- bluejekyll 8y agoI think he was conflicted about their plight. My guess is he didn’t see them as Americans (Patriots, sure) and was in favor of a send them back (Liberia) policy. I’m not a historian though, so my thoughts on this are fairly meaningless.
