I'm very hopeful about proof-of-stake for this reason. Mining is a massive waste of resources, and isn't very effective at decentralizing the network.

- Moodles 8y agoProof of stake has issues too I believe, such as the big getting bigger, "not at stake", etc. I agree it's a shame the work in bitcoin etc is useless for everything besides securing the blockchain, though.
