RubyKube Free Open-Source Crypto Platform
- blcknight 8y agoWhat fresh hell is this
- ada1981 8y agoWhat in fresh hell does “fresh hell” mean?
- extra88 8y agoI think the implication is clear, a "fresh hell" is something new and bad.
- ada1981 8y agoI hadn’t heard this before. Also a 1995 album: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/What_Fresh_Hell_Is_This%3F https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/What_Fresh_Hell_Is_This%3F And originally a quote from Dorthy Parker.
- extra88 8y agoDorothy Parker was very pithy, it's not surprising that she coined the phrase.
- tango24 8y agoFYI— this is about some forked cryptocurrency platform, not the “crypto” many people would expect.
- bdcravens 8y agoWhen I read "crypto" I default to assuming cryptocurrency, not cryptography, unless the domain is implicit. HN is mostly "nerd news" and I'd venture to say 10x+ cryptocurrency than cryptography articles have made it to the front page in recent years, so I think "many people would expect" cryptocurrency.
- cryptomod 8y agoRubykube started from peatio but is now a very modified version of peatio and microservices, you can use it for fiat and many crypto-currency exchange.
- dhawkins 8y agoNow it has a cool stack around modified Peatio
- kunwarvivek 8y agoSeems very promising.
- Happy_crypto 8y agoWow! Interesting ;)
- sweetholyjesus 8y agoOpensource crypto platform? Does this mean that anyone can become a cryptocurrency exchange?
- bdcravens 8y agoYou have the code to run one. Then you're ready for the regulatory and banking issues, which are 90% of the work.
- cryptomod 8y agoYou can always do Crypto-Crypto exchange in many countries without licenses.
- sweetholyjesus 8y agoWhat if I am not worried about regulated markets? :)
- fouc 8y agoSo it's a crypto platform coded in ruby?
