FINALLY, the inability to browse was my biggest issue with scihub.
All these sheltered academics were heralding it as the best thing ever, without even the basic user experience expected this decade.
Yes, I know about the chrome extensions.
- viraptor 8y agoBecause browsing is provided by other services already. The usual use case for sci-hub is: find an article you're interested in, find it's super expensive, copy the doi into sci-hub. It would be cool if sci-hub came with a catalogue, but it's very usable without it. And it's not just sheltered academics (or even just academics) that are using it.
