You're asking why we're not polite to the people destroying the world around us with their stupidity. Because politeness is secondary to having a world that's livable in. People get angry when others mess with their life and livelihood. We want to live, not to die and if others get in the way, politeness and kindness are inappropriate responses. It's not much different than responding with politeness when a country is invaded by others. Destruction is the end result in both cases so people get angry and rightfully so. It's either that or allowing your own destruction to happen. Not to mention that people do not listen to logic or reason. Trying to convince others who are fanatical about their beliefs with reason and logic is a waste of time.
