If you just want to get a file or files from A to B you can use rsync. It works great (although I don't know if it works on Windows)

- anderspitman 8y agorsync is a great tool, but I'm talking about cases involving NATs and smartphones (although I'm sure there's a reasonable android version of rsync available).
