It’s not about the little boy who identifies as gay in the moment; it’s about the little boy who realizes he is gay later on, and who has already internalized the message “it is wrong to be gay and people will make fun of you for it.” And it’s not just gay people; this can apply to anyone who is considered “lesser”. The slurs are hurtful; and should be avoided out of empathy for your fellow humans rather than because the government said so. But naturally there are a bunch of unempathetic edgelords who have to defy authority. So we are where we are.

I don't. So i don't see why it's so important to make sure kids think it's "ok". Why should we have sympathy for child predators? We shouldn't be encouraging pedos to feel ok about themselves. In the same way I don't want to encouage gays walking around in public in g-strings, i don't want to see that culture promoted. So we are where we are. When defying athourity is just trying dismantle whatever rules you can grab your hands on without thinking about the consequences then you end up with the modern left. They can't stop and think for a second about how their actions lead to catastrophic consequences like the collapse in liberal child birth. Considering that conservatives are having children at around a 4x rate of liberals, It's only going to be a matter of time before they simply are just outnumbered by those who actually have children.
