AirBNB is expensive for a month. Post in "housing wanted" on Craigslist and look for sublets on there, it will be relatively easy to find a great place. You may find it taking longer to find more permanent housing than you think. I moved to SF in late August, and I'm still looking for an apartment. It's fiercely competitive.
