> Neo-Nazi deletes anti-Semitic posts from 'alt-right' Twitter
Who writes these terrible headlines? Why do these blogspam sites refuse to put the actual topic in the subject?
This makes it sound like Twitter is alt-right. It's not even accurate since Gab isn't political or "alt-right," Nazis use it because they refuse to censor.
- slater 8y ago> Gab isn't political or "alt-right" haha, good one!
- devmunchies 8y agoits the last recourse for the alt-right because other platforms censor them. I'm sure if you posted far-left stuff on there it wouldn't be censored either, but there is no point because most social media platforms don't censor far-left thoughts anyway.
- int_19h 8y ago> most social media platforms don't censor far-left thoughts anyway. They do, though. https://www.counterpunch.org/2017/08/09/google-censors-block-access-to-counterpunch-and-other-progressive-sites/ https://www.counterpunch.org/2017/08/09/google-censors-block...
- devmunchies 8y agogoogle results are a social media platform? And i said "most".
- ubernostrum 8y agoWell, there are all the people who point out that Twitter will take ages to respond to a report of a conservative-leaning account making threats and will usually end up saying "that doesn't violate our guidelines". But somehow quickly suspends left-leaning accounts which say similar things. Especially if you say them in the direction of a blue-checkmark conservative-leaning account.
- jewelthief91 8y agoGoogle is supposedly a "common carrier". Though I'm not sure how they're hanging onto that legal title.
- LyndsySimon 8y agoI wish it wasn't, but it is. It's a decent platform with a lot of potential, and the filtering that they put in place early on for inbox abuse were way better than anything Twitter ever did.
