Why did they not park the car back and wait with the police on call in order to catch the thieves that would have come back the next night?
- stingraycharles 8y agoI would assume because of the short timeline, the novelty of the technique, a lot of paperwork being involved, and possibly a whole different police department that would have to do it.
- test6554 8y agoWith the alarm disabled, they could wait a month.
- Cthulhu_ 8y agoI'd argue they would have to act quickly though - there was an alarm going on the dashboard when the car was started.
- Rjevski 8y agoI had a phone stolen recently at knifepoint (attempting to sell it on a classifieds site). When I told the police I could make them come back next day (posting another ad, etc) they wouldn’t give a shit. I suspect this is the same reason.
