In any place where incumbent landlords are protected from competition, rents will naturally rise to consume all available money.
- tafycent 8y agoI don't think the issue is that landlords are protected from competition. No matter what they do they're competing with the rest of the country. The issue is that there's massive demand for housing in one particular area. As such, the price of housing will increase in that area until the market will no longer bear it.
