I mean, this is kind of true already, although not exactly in that sense. Companies are essentially meta-entities made of humans, making their own decisions in the same way that humans are meta-entities made of cells, making decisions independent of any of those cells.
- shawn 8y agoThe interesting part is what ties all of them together: mutual incentives. It’s in your interest to eat because otherwise you’ll die, even if you don’t quite know what “you” is. And that’s sort of true of companies as well.
