If only Google published a post or a support article about this so that anyone searching for this issue could have a way to get it sorted out — if not for all users, at least for the ones who happened to have this recently where Google has data backups. Having to resort to social media and shame companies into doing what they ought to be doing in the normal course of business and having proper escalation channels (more so for paid products) is ridiculous.
