I also prefer a blocking list and blocker on each terminal device rather than central on the network. It is unpleasant otherwise to open one's laptop at the library or at a friend's house and be bombarded by ads.
- mnw21cam 8y agoThis is the single greatest argument against getting a Pi-hole.
- j0hnml 8y agoYeah, this is a valid point. But, you can also just keep something like uBlock installed and just disable it when using pi-hole and then enable it once you’re on something like a public network.
- Tomte 8y agoWhy disable uBlock? I have both Pi-Hole and uBlock Origin active.
