I had issues with Pi-Hole slowing down page loads significantly until they introduced NXDOMAIN and NULL blocking as an option.
These features made it to the stable build this week so it might be worth trying again for those who had issues in the past.
- moviuro 8y agoI do it differently on my own DNS ad blocker: it returns the IP of my "happy" webserver that always returns `204 No Content`, whatever query you send to it. Of course, there's still the issue of https failing, but I've never had any performance issues - much more the opposite actually.
