If most of your use case is copying s3 files to and fro, maybe doing a bit of transformation what does it matter what language you use? You could deploy some python or even JavaScript code to lambda and get the job done faster than you could with Go. From a performance perspective compiled languages only win in some very niche cases these days (mostly cpu bound tasks that can’t be distributed and require low latency).
