There was a story on public radio recently (maybe Radio Lab?) about synthesizing voice. Adobe has developed a "Photoshop for audio". One of the hosts interviewed a computer scientist on the subject and really pressed on the ethical uses of such software. The scientist was flummoxed and had not really considered the ethical implications before.
