Tianeptine is fairly well known[1][2] for being able to prevent and/or reverse changes like hippocampal volume loss, which is commonly seen in untreated depression[3], chronic stress[4] and several other conditions. 7,8-Dihydroxyflavone[5] derivatives and/or prodrugs also look promising[6].   Jon Hopkins university is conducting research on psychedelic. There is a whole universe of medical applications from what I saw but they need more funding to safely prove those.
