Just one more reassuring comment. I met an aerocraft engineer. He ONLY worked on the one part of deploying The face mask that is, the act of deploying a latch thing. And said this one part goes through something like a million cycles of deployment. And to certify an aircraft they hire pilots to take off and land for two or three years continuously. As well he said it is manually impossible to crash an airplane. Bad things can happen but you would need many in a row for anything to happen. All in all, lots of people work really hard to keep us safe.
