I had one of the Sony backlit devices. It was a poor purchase decision, perhaps, but it was quite advanced. AT&T pulling support for it was my first experience with "the cloud giveth and the cloud taketh away". Paired with a more modern cpu and battery though with some updates, it could be quite useful even today, though...
