I think it's absolutely a moral issue, but that argument has gotten nowhere in America. Single payer care allows labour mobility because employment no longer dictates care. It's small business friendly since people can take a financial risk knowing they are not taking a medical risk for themselves or their family. It's big business friendly since employers don't have to manage medical benefits anymore. It's health care provider friendly since the administration overhead of billing to a single payer is greatly reduced.
