We prefer spaces over tabs because the ident style requires it. Anyway, the solution is simple: agree on one style and stick with it. Code is made to be read many times more than it's modified (open close, you know), therefore one shouldn't read a code line more than once to understand it. It's your job to deal with the company style and adopt, otherwise you're not professional.
