I use rss feeds + a rss reader. I have a 2 step process: i read headlines and tag interesting articles as "read later". Every now and then i go through this read later list, read some of the articles, and star the ones i want to save. I use the rss reader/news aggregator Aktu (https://aktu.io https://aktu.io),shameless plug: i built it, but Feedly (https://feedly.com/ https://feedly.com/) is a good option too.
