It was a bit of a cultural shock, coming to USA, and learning that huge population (apart from jewish & muslim) were being circumcised. Years later, when our son was born, it came to me again about this societal "norm", but didn't even think for a second that this needs to be done. I hope the society (apart from cultural/religious observations) changes.
