What happens when you are laid off, and you're ill? Does insurance cover that period?
- maxerickson 8y agoLots of disability insurance policies would cover an extended illness (and every creditable financial advisor would recommend disability insurance come before any discretionary spending). But I was making a point about the statistics, not launching a spirited defense of the US system.
- Latteland 8y agoi think regular people don't have great coverage of disabilities. is cancer a disability? you get it, you can't work during treatment, you lose your job and insurance.
