No? Police actions are supposed to be transparent to the public. Should we treat every single government agency as if they deal with super-secret national security issues and allow them to keep everything secret?
- dosy 8y agopolice must present as open and transparent because presence is a crime deterant, order is more effectively kept when people trust / relate / engage with them, and they are service and public facing and an image of transparency reinforces faith in justice. but investigations and methods and intel must be secret to preserve capability. and also legal / judiciL integrity.
