It's true though. I just got a job at a FANG company right out of college and if I wanted my own 1 bedroom apartment it would look like a repurposed motel from the 50s. I make over six figures but can't help but feel guilty when I have to tell my parents, who are below poverty line, that I can't afford my own apartment.
