- 40acres 8y agoIt's not just Oregon. Haswell (4th Gen) is based off of Haswell, CO (Intel has a presence in Fort Collins, CO) and Kaby Lake (8th gen) is based off a lake in Canada.
- deepnotderp 8y agoYes, well after a couple decades they started to run out of landmarks :)
- planteen 8y agoI'm from Colorado and never heard of Haswell. I'm pretty well acquainted with mountain towns, but Haswell is a tiny town in eastern Colorado. Intel chose it because of the easy to pronounce name. https://www.denverpost.com/2013/06/01/intels-newest-processor-named-after-small-colorado-town-of-haswell/ https://www.denverpost.com/2013/06/01/intels-newest-processo...
