AI can be sexist and racist – it’s time to make it fair
- rjplatte 8y agoWhat if, to some extent, it's simply reflecting objective truth? Reality isn't concerned with being inoffensive. Obviously any system that actively discriminates against intrinsic traits shouldn't be put into production, but if we have to game a system to make it agree with us, there's some intellectual dishonesty involved.
- grawprog 8y agoYou're coming awfully close there to implying that there might actually be differences between different genders and people from different places in the world. Better be careful don't you know if theories and models disagree with reality clearly it just means reality is flawed. Especially if reality implies, gee golly maybe we're not all exactly the same.
