Larger sensors are better in respects other than megapixels: diffraction limits hit at much higher f/stops, there is higher dynamic range and less noise, much better microcontrast as a result.
- _Codemonkeyism 8y agoWith smaller sensors and ND filters you don't need higher f/stops because of larger DoF from sensor size - more is sharp with smaller f/stops. One reason I wish more cameras had builtin ND filters though.
