I was at an amazing job that I loved and debating about proposing to my girlfriend. The catch was I knew if we were going to stay together I’d have to move for her Masters and therefore leave the awesome job. I choose the girl over the job, and while it took me a long time to not be sad I had to make the choice I have never regretted it. 10 years later I can say is I’ve ended up in an awesome place and enjoy life immensely. I don’t have much to tell 25 year old me.* I made the right big decisions in defining and pursuing my priorities. What I do generally tell 25 year olds is to think clearly about WHY you are making decisions. Write it down- there is something about writing or typing that feels like commitment. If you do that, you can end up still making decisions you regret, but you are less likely to make them, and even when you do you won’t find yourself as frustrated at where you ended up. *Mine Bitcoin, I do wish 25 year old me had known to mine bitcoin.
