I use the "dueling sins" model of "copying versus coupling." Early lifecycle code benefits from the flexibility of copying. Mature code benefits from the coupling forces of abstraction. Both have the capacity to do harm.
- hinkley 8y agoDo you follow Jim Highsmith at all? His philosophy is that there are no answers. That we are minmaxing a bunch of competing criteria and trying to do the best we can. In his words: we are a solving problems, we are resolving paradoxes.
