Trump repeatedly said during his campaign he would go after China for their tariffs and how they manipulate their currency. For a lot of Trump voters, he's just following through with a campaign promise.
- berbec 8y agoThe two aren't mutually exclusive. Trump can be engaging in showmanship and following through with a campaign promise. I'm not saying the China tarrifs are spectacle, but the wall certainly is security theater.
